About Your Sponsorship

Dan Cox grew up in Hamilton, Ohio with 5 brothers. They were raised by their parents, Mary Lou and Bill. They attended both Catholic grade school and high school here in Hamilton. They were all very athletic players.

After high school, Dan Cox started coaching CYO football and went on to coach at Badin High school until his untimely passing on February 3rd, 2019. Dan dedicated & volunteered his time coaching youth football.  In order to continue his legacy and to honor him for his dedication to youth sports, a legacy fund has been established in his honor, “The Dan Cox Legacy Fund”. This fund has been bestowed amongst several local organizations throughout the years. The CYO football field, located at Joyce Park in Hamilton, has been named in his honor as well. Each week day and weekend this field is filled with hundreds of young athletes spiring to be the next great football player.

Currently, the “Dan Cox Memorial Golf Outing” and a two-day volleyball tournament are held each year to provide financial support. All proceeds from these events are donated to back to local charities in order to help maintain their causes. Numerous charities that benefit from the legacy fund are: St Ann’s Root’s & Wings, St. Ann’s PAC (provides youth athletic gear), Badin & Madison HS Volleyball & Football teams (provides equipment), finances the Dan Cox Scholarship Fund at Badin High School.  In addition, it helps support the Hamilton – Fairfield CYO football field maintenance program.

In order to help support the football field maintenance program, we are looking for support from local retailer’s as yourself to help provide any support. Whether, it be financial or reduced pricing on sports related items. We are currently in need of new field turf and a metal storage facility located at Joyce Park.

Thank you for your support.
